This is the grave of Lieutenant James H. Griffin born on April 20, 1914 and died on August 18, 1940. He was a member of the 13th Attack Squadron of the United States Air Corps. Laid to rest in Pittillo-Lanning Cemetery in Fruitland Community near Hendersonville, North Carolina.
